Snack. Trader Joe's Cowboy Caviar, with tortilla chips; boiled eggs (with sriracha.) We also had a slice of the chocolate cake that I'd baked.  Dinner. Plain Jane pasta.  Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups.

Snack. A wedge of chocolate cake. Dinner. Pork butt, braised in soy sauce, with rice. Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups. BRAISING LIQUID. 1 pound of pork butt (or shoulder.)  1/4 cup of soy sauce. 1/4 cup brown sugar.  2 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 teaspoon chili-garlic paste.  6 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced. 0.5 inch nub of ginger, thinly sliced.  Scallions, for garnish.  Note: Don't season the meat with salt as it sears as it'll get overly salty in combination with the soy sauce.

Snack. Two boiled eggs (with mustard.) Dinner. Trader Joe's Madras Lentils, with naan. For dessert, there was Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra ice-cream.  Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups. Chores.  Dusted and polished the furniture in the bed room.

Snack. Pizza at Whole Foods. Dinner. Kielbasa, with onion and peppers,  with dinner bun. Fruit of the Day. Grapes. Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups. We drove through roadwork and blustery winds to Danbury.  Whole Foods: $101.02  + Trader Joe's: $52.90 =   $153.92

Snack. A bar of Pure Protein. Dinner. Chicken sliders (with grilled chicken got from KFC.) When I do it next, I better do the patty with ground chicken.   Workout. 45-minute-run. Sit-ups.

Snack. A boiled egg (with sriracha) and a bar of Snickers ice-cream bar (which, has the same calories as a bar of chocolate deluxe-flavored Pure Protein.)   Dinner.  Grilled salmon, with a sweet chili-lime base. (Grill the salmon for about five minutes on each side.) Workout. 30-minute-run. Grocery. ShopRite: $66.45 + Adams: $8.38 + AccuPrint: $2.50 = $77.33 CHILI-LIME BASE. 2 skin-on salmon fillets or steaks. 4 tablespoons of sweet chili sauce. 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. 1 tablespoon of garlic. 2 teaspoons of lime juice. Scallions and/or lime, for garnish.

Snack. Dutch baby. A few pieces of Jack Links' jerky. Dinner. Rigatoni and cauliflower al forno.  M. and I shared a cup of Kozy Shack's Crème Caramel Flan. The only rub with this preparation is that rigatoni takes a long time to get cooked and is best baked after it's al dente. And that calls for a fair amount of a cheese that melts.   Workout. 45-minute-run. Sit-ups.
