Snack.  Pita, stuffed with egg, feta, scallions and roasted red bell pepper tapenade.  Dinner. Fried tilapia; roasted potatoes, on the side. I daubed the fillets with McCormick's fish and chips batter, one that I made into a thick batter. It worked wonderfully.

I wanted to the celebrate the start of fall by baking a pineapple upside-down cake.   This was my first attempt making it. But even so, it turned out unexpectedly well. (The popularity of this dessert peaked in the 1950s, which is where it gets its retro reputation.)   Dinner. Ginger fried rice (with fried egg.) Ensure that you fry the rice enough so that it develops a mild crunch.

Snack. Quail eggs, with garlic toast.  Dinner. Salmon (steak) in garlic-butter sauce, with rice. We had two sides: roasted broccolini and sautéed carrots and peas. We should avoid making this preparation with the steak because the cut has a thick skin, often, with a few scales.
