Snack. Roasted red pepper-and-goat cheese sandwich. Dinner. Cauliflower in Korean red chili sauce. Cauliflower is a deeply flavorful veggie and a head can feed a family. But no matter how small it is, it’s almost always too big, when cooking for two. So, cut it in two and save the other half for the next meal.
Dinner. Shrimp fra diavlo, which we had with paccheri. Paccheri (pronounced: pakkeri) is something new pasta I’ve discovered. Large short tubes, which trace their origin to the Campania region of Italy, it makes a lovely slapping sound when eaten.
Dinner was an all-British affair. We had ploughman’s sandwich, with Deep River chips, which we washed down with a glass of Guinness. For dessert, we had Aunty's Sticky Toffee pudding. Earlier in the day, we went to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.
