Snack. Ocean Spray’s cranberries; KRAVE’s jerky; a slice of banana bread at Starbucks and an at home, one of Irish soda bread (with orange marmalade.) Dinner. Spanish-style shrimp, with dinner rolls. Also: a little cherry cola-cola. Workout. 3-mile-walk. Sit-ups.
Snack. A bar of Pure Protein. Dinner. We never eat out because there’s no decent place to eat here. But this evening, we decided to check out a local pizzeria, where we ordered a prosciutto, fig and arugula pie. I returned home with that notion reinforced. Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups. Chores. Dusted the furniture in the living room.
Snack. Half a bar of Godiva's dark chocolate; KRAVE's jerky; artisan bread, topped with Nutella; and hash browns. Dinner. Linguine, with a flavorful mix of with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, red chili flakes, kalamata olives and parsley. (We'd run out of feta.) Fruit of the Day. Grape. Workout. 45-minute-run. Sit-ups.
Snack. A bar of Pure Protein. Dinner. Ginger fried rice (with fried egg); roasted okra, on the side. Workout. Skipped the exercise because I did other physical activities. Chores. Dusted shelf No. 4.
Snack. Boiled egg (with sriracha) and a couple of slices of artisan bread. Dinner. Sesame-ginger salmon en papillote, with rice. Also: a glass of a (German) sweet red wine. M. didn't have the wine because there was very little of it left. Fruit of the Day. Blackberry. Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups.
Snack. We had coffee and banana bread at the local Starbucks as well as half a bar of Godiva’s dark chocolate. Dinner. Pork chops, braised in coconut milk, with rice noodles. And where did we braise it? In Guy Fieri’s enameled cast-iron braiser. Also: a glass of a (German) sweet red wine. Workout. 3-mile-walk. Sit-ups. To top that, I also hefted a 15-pound kitchen utensil.
