Snack. A wedge of chocolate cake.

Dinner. Pork butt, braised in soy sauce, with rice.

Workout. 30-minute-run. Sit-ups.

BRAISING LIQUID.
  • 1 pound of pork butt (or shoulder.) 
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar. 
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil.
  • 1 teaspoon chili-garlic paste. 
  • 6 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced.
  • 0.5 inch nub of ginger, thinly sliced. 
  • Scallions, for garnish. 
Note: Don't season the meat with salt as it sears as it'll get overly salty in combination with the soy sauce.
