Coffee was followed shortly by a bowl of sweet gnocchi. At noon, we headed to town for a supper at Nur, where M. and I shared a Jerusalem bagel and a plate of lamb chops.

For a place that’s been touted by celebrated chefs—and is costly—it offered nothing, but deep disappointment. Not only was the fare terrible, the establishment was also unclean.
