The neighborhood around the Lincoln Center, which I find to be one of the most elegant sections of Manhattan, blends the performing arts and the high-tech in a fine mix.

The Grand Stair, a short flight of shallow steps, with comfortably wide treads, have embedded in them, computerized, L.E.D. text displays that blink on and off, the names of the program highlights of each Lincoln Center venue.
I shot this on a recent evening, just as the twilight was setting in.
